Welcome from Sheila Stenson
Thank you for expressing an interest in the post of Director of Estates and Facilities Management.
This is an exciting time to be joining the estates and facilities team in KMPT.
Our corporate functions support the amazing work our care groups do. Our corporate teams, which encompass estates and facilities, are responsible for defining policies based on Trust strategy co-ordinating and contributing to their implementation.
We are delighted to have been rated Outstanding for Caring and Good overall in our most recent CQC inspection in March 2019. While we have made progress in many areas, we know there is still more to do. Our new Estates Strategy sets out the Trust’s ambition for a consistently high quality estate to support all its services to deliver outstanding care and treatment that the residents of Kent and Medway can be confident in. It includes a fundamental review of our estates and facilities operations and assets. The Trust wanted to engage as many people as possible in the thinking about its estate and the new strategy reflects as many of their thoughts and ideas as possible. Ensuring a safe and appropriate environment, maintaining its assets and facilities, and delivering excellent ‘hotel’ facilities services which are at the core of what the Trust does in the management of its estate. The primary concern, addressed by the Estates Strategy, is that of ensuring that it supports and enables delivery of clinical services as effectively as possible.
If you have ambition, ideas and energy, this is the role for you. I really hope you will consider applying to join the KMPT family – there is much to be done and a host of opportunities. You are also joining the Trust at a time of increasing change. It’s an exciting time to join us.
